Welcome to the Sol Duc River near Forks, Washington.  We are on mission to complete a show here started last February.  The swinging was tough today, but we were able to nymph up a beautiful dime bright 8 pound hen! As the day closed it was fish on!  At the launch we found out that those using bait in the boats in front of us landed 7 fish!  BAIT!   ah #$%^%##@#$!!!!!    Its off to the Hoh River tomorrow check back in for an update.  Greg

I have fished with some great fishermen over the years, but perhaps none better than Frank Looney.  He’s fighting a fish, not spilling his beer and avoiding the bears!  Even his “TWO” guides appear to be stunned by his abilities.

This fish was caught in Alaska’s Kvichak River. It may be my favorite Alaskan River to fish these days.  You have a chance at big fish like this and I love to stay at George Riddles’ place called Blueberry Island Lodge.  If wine and cheese isn’t your thing then his lodge is the place for you.  By the way this fish measured 33 inches.  A fish of a lifetime.

So you tell me, Is that a bullet hole in this big bow’s cranium?  Obviously not but it makes you wonder.  Another “Kvichak River Giant” caught by Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few.
